Itinerary
Your sacred journey begins as you leave Delhi behind and drive through the Yamuna Expressway towards Mathura, the land where Lord Krishna was born. Upon arrival, settle into your hotel and in the evening visit the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple, the very birthplace of the Lord. Later, walk to Vishram Ghat on the Yamuna River, where pilgrims have paused for centuries after their parikrama. The evening aarti here fills the air with divine chants and the glow of countless diyas. Overnight in Mathura.
After breakfast, a short drive takes you to Vrindavan, where every street whispers stories of Krishna’s playful Lila. Visit the revered Banke Bihari Temple, known for its vibrant darshan, and the spiritual center of ISKCON Temple. Experience the mystical aura of Nidhivan, believed to be the nightly playground of Radha-Krishna, and in the evening, witness the illuminated Prem Mandir, glowing with lights and devotion. Overnight in Mathura/Vrindavan.
This morning, embark on a long but rewarding journey to Chitrakoot, nestled in the Bundelkhand region. It was here that lord Ram, Sita, and Lakshman spent a major part of their exile, sanctifying the forests and rivers. Arrive by evening, settle into your hotel, and if time allows, take a gentle walk to Ram-Ghat, where lamps reflect on the Mandakini River. Overnight in Chitrakoot.
Spend the day exploring the sacred landscape of Chitrakoot. Begin with the Kamad-Giri Parikrama, a 5km circumambulation of the holy hill. Visit Bharat Milap Mandir, marking the spot where Bharat met Lord Ram, and the caves of Gupt Godavari, where legends say Ram and Lakshman once held court. Sunset at Ram-Ghat is a serene finale, with kirtans and rituals echoing through the ghats. Overnight in Chitrakoot.
After breakfast, drive towards Prayagraj, home to the sacred Triveni Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati converge. On arrival, take part in rituals at the Sangam and, if desired, a guided puja for peace and prosperity. Evening aarti at the banks is a sight of devotion with lamps floating across the waters. Overnight in Prayagraj.
This morning, revisit the Sangam for a sunrise darshan before driving to Varanasi. On arrival, check into your hotel. In the evening, experience the world-famous Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, where the river glows with thousands of diyas, chants, and bells- an unforgettable spiritual spectacle. Overnight in Varanasi.
Rise early for a boat ride on the Ganga, watching the ghats come alive with morning rituals. Visit the sacred Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, followed by a heritage walk through the old lanes. Later, visit Sarnath, where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after enlightenment. Return to the ghats for evening reflections. Overnight in Varanasi
Today, drive northwards to Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram. Arrive by afternoon and proceed for evening darshan at the grand shri ram Janmabhoomi Mandir. The divine chants and glowing temple complex create a deeply moving experience. Overnight in Ayodhya.
Dedicate this day to explore Ayodhya’s sacred landmarks- Hanuman Gardhi, Kanak Bhawan, and the newly developed Bhakti Path and Aastha Path that connect the ghats and temples. Engage in sat-sang or katha sessions if available, immersing in the city’s devotional heartbeat. Evening aarti offers a perfect conclusion. Overnight in Ayodhya.
After breakfast, drive to Naimisharanya (Misrikh), an ancient forest revered in the Puranas as the site of great yajnas and rishi assemblies. Visit Chakratirth, Lalita devi Temple and hear the sacred stories that make this site timeless. After darshan, continue to Lucknow for inward journey. Tour concludes with divine blessings.
